PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

Embarking on the journey into the job market can be daunting. This in depth workshop focuses on all the skills required to bring our students on a smooth transition from the academic world into their career journey. The workshop focuses on resume writing, the importance of networking, professional etiquette, and preparing for their first job interview. We bring our real world expertise into the classroom to prepare the students and empower them to step out with confidence. 

KEY LEARNINGS

• Learn how to best present your past achievements and skills in a standout resume

• Get an understanding of resume screening softwares and how this impacts your resume

• Familiarise yourself with possible networking opportunities and why this is important

• Present yourself in your best light by having professional etiquette

• Achieve awareness of how grooming, use of tone, language and overall appearances make a difference

• Be prepared for what to expect during a job interview

• Achieve awareness of real world job interview questions across relevant industries

• Find out different interview formats that have been used by employers

• Familiarise yourself with key question types and how to structure good answers

• Achieve awareness of how to maximise the opportunity provided by each question

• Experience a mock  Interview and receive constructive feedback from the trainer

• Receive feedback on a full range of rubrics such as body language, habits, reactions, responses, use and command of language, structuring of answers and ability to build rapport

• Walk away with important preparation techniques to self-practice
