PSLE English Oral SBC Workshop

This workshop is designed for students to approach the SBC as a communication skill and to develop and empower them to speak about any topic with confidence and fluency. By breaking down the questions, we aim to bring awareness of the logic and structure behind crafting an answer that is comfortable for them. With the workshop, we aim to encourage students to lean on their own experiences, making it familiar and comfortable and we work towards coaching them to express their thoughts in a confident manner.

Key Learnings
· Dissect and understand the differences between Q1, Q2 and Q3
· Be aware of directly linked questions and the different variations
· Understand broad based questions and the possible question types
· Hone the skill and habit of guessing the theme of the broad based questions
· Learn the strategy and structure of an SBC answer that fully addresses the requirements
· Discover how to broaden your perspective of experiences to tell a fluent story
· Find out key themes and topics for the SBC
· Learn the technique of generating your own oral vocabulary by topic
Program Objectives

This workshop will be run by Discovering Potential's founder, Hwang Siew Ling, who has extensive experience training students in PSLE Oral skills. Siew Ling is also an Interview and Career Coach, Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and also a Certified Advanced Behavioural & Career Consultant. $220 per participant (workshop fees are not refundable but may be transferred to another participant)
